Baker McKenzie has appointed Shih Yann Loo, a partner in its Hong Kong office, to succeed Michael Wong as Chairman of the firm's Asia Pacific Region. In addition, Mr. Lu will continue to serve as a member of Baker McKenzie's global Executive Committee. The appointment was announced at Baker McKenzie's annual partnership meeting in Singapore on October 21, and Wang will return to the firm's Taipei office.
Since joining Baker McKenzie's Hong Kong office in 1993, Shih Yann Loo has held various leadership positions and participated in the establishment of the joint venture office of FenXun Partners (Shanghai Free Trade Zone). He also leads Baker & McKenzie's Intellectual Property team in cross-border litigation and enforcement in Mainland China and Hong Kong.
