Recently, Ashurst was approved to enter the Korean market as an affiliate and will establish a joint venture law firm with HwaHyun ("Ashurst Korea JV"). Ashurst is the first global firm to be allowed to provide local legal services in Korea since the country opened its legal market in 2011.

Ashurst Korea JV was approved by the Korean Ministry of Justice on 29 November 2022.
