Recently, Bird & Bird officially opened a representative office in Shenzhen, becoming the third international law firm to announce the establishment of a new Shenzhen representative office this year. At the same time, this is also the fourth branch established by Bird & Bird in the Greater China after Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai.
As an engine city and core city in the GBA region, Shenzhen is a hub connecting domestic and overseas markets in the GBA region. It has obvious advantages in terms of system, foreign economic exchanges, economic marketization and internationalization, and public management. With a number of key global corporate clients in Shenzhen, the Shenzhen office will serve as a hub for partners in the Greater China offices to meet clients and launch services in the GBA region. The Shenzhen office is led by IP partner Hank Leung, who currently serves as co-head of intellectual property practice in China.
