Linklaters Appoints New Managing Partner in Asia

Linklaters LLP appointed William Liu, the capital markets partner of the Hong Kong office, as the managing partner of the Asia region. The appointment will take effect on June 1, 2021 for a term of four years.
Mr Liu will replace Natalie Hobbs, who is a partner in banking business in Hong Kong.

Mr. Liu joined the Hong Kong office of Linklaters as a trainee lawyer in 1998. He was promoted to a partner in 2008 and worked in the Shanghai office for three years. Since 2018, Liu has been the head of China business of firm, and is responsible for the Asia capital markets business. He is also a member of the Asian Executive Committee of Linklaters.
