Recently, Zhong Lun Law Firm announced that Mr. Gary Li has joined as a partner, based in the Hong Kong office.
Mr. Li's practice focuses on private equity and investment funds, cross-border M&A, debt restructuring, and distressed asset sales, and he has extensive experience in leveraged buyouts, take-privates, PIPEs, and growth equity investments. Mr. Li is qualified to practice law in the Hong Kong SAR of China and the State of New York in the United States. Prior to joining Zhong Lun, Mr. Li practiced law at Paul Weiss, Ropes & Gray, and Kirkland & Ellis. During his practice, Mr. Li helped complete a series of transactions such as the $3.16 billion acquisition of Chindata by a buyer consortium led by Bain Capital, the $4.76 billion acquisition of China Biologic Products Holdings, Inc. by a buyer consortium led by Centurium Capital, CITIC Capital, Hillhouse Group and other investors, and the $1.6 billion acquisition of Interplex by Blackstone.
