Guantao merged with Zhongmao

In January 2016, Beijing Guantao Law Firm (as in “Guantao”), along with Shanghai Zhongmao Law Firm (as in “Zhongmao”) and other law firms and legal teams, will officially merge into Guantao Zhongmao Law Firm ( as in “Guantao Zhongmao”).
Guantao, founded in 1994, locates its headquarter in Beijing. Zhongmao, founded in 1998, is headquartered in Shanghai. Guantao started its alliance strategy with Zhongmao from 2011, launching every aspect of their cooperation based on the spirit of “mutual creativity, sharing and future”. The combination represents the result of further alliance. The new firm, Guantao Zhongmao, is a pioneer law firm now with branch offices in nearly 20 cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Dalian.
The proposed combination will be announced on January 18, 2016. With advantages from both sides added up from this merger, the LEGALBAND China’s Top Law Firm Ranking and Top Lawyers List would be accordingly modified.
