The global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright announced that it would merge with Chadbourne & Parke, a leading international law firm, to form a combined firm which will use the Norton Rose Fulbright name during the second quarter of 2017. The new firm will own about 4,000 lawyers with offices in 32 countries.
It is the newest deal of merger for Norton Rose Fulbright, one of the world’s largest law firms with about 3,700 lawyers. The current firm is the result of successive mergers, most notably a 2013 tie-up with the former Texas firm Fulbright & Jaworski.
Among clients the two firms both represent are Deutsche Bank AG, Banco Santander SA and French energy company Engie SA. The merger of two firms will give Norton Rose larger opportunities in New York and other countries, also Chadbourne is the same.
