Joseph Bauerschmidt, former Singapore Country Managing Partner at DLA Piper, has recently joined Digital Edge, a data center platform company, as Head of Legal & Compliance.

Mr. Bauerschmidt focuses on securities offerings and mergers and acquisitions in both public and private markets. He joined DLA Piper in 2015 and served as the firm’s Singapore Country Managing Partner until stepping down in May last year. Prior to DLA Piper, he also held positions at several law firms, including Simpson Thacher, Milbank, and Jones Day.

Founded in 2020 and headquartered in Singapore, Digital Edge is a data center developer and operator with a strategic focus on the Asia-Pacific region. The company currently operates over 20 data centers across markets including China, Japan, South Korea, India, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
